Stewardship

This commission is responsible for the teaching and practice of stewardship among the parish's members. The commissioner is appointed by the Pastor.

Lawn and Garden Committee

The lawn and garden committee oversees landscaping of the church property. The committee plants and maintains the flowers and ornamental shrubs and pulls weeds and rakes leaves around the church grounds. All volunteers are welcome.

Parish Property Committee

This committee oversees the parish grounds and buildings. It solicits bids for all major repairs and improvements, following the directives of the Archdiocesan Building Commission. Membership usually consists of three to five appointed persons.

Stewardship Committee

Christian stewardship is a recognition that all we have is given to us by God. It is a calling to reflect on the gifts we have received and make a conscious decision to use the time, talent and treasure God has given us to serve our parish community and our world.

Christ the King’s Stewardship Committee focuses on educating parishioners about opportunities to do God’s work through over 50 parish ministries and participation in our annual stewardship renewal campaign. Through programs like Ministry Minutes, the Children’s Envelope Project, our annual Parish Meal and Ministry Fair, and the Parish Stewardship and United Catholic Appeal campaigns, the committee works to raise awareness about stewardship opportunities. We welcome parishioners interested in enthusiastically promoting stewardship.

Parish Trustees (Counters)

Parish Trustees count and deposit all incoming cash and checks received through weekly and holyday collections. Trustees are appointed volunteers. Each trustee is a contributing, registered member of the parish. An appointed volunteer coordinates the program.
