| A Letter from the Principal | |
Welcome to the website for Christ the King Catholic School! I hope you will find your visit informative and worthwhile. This is my seventh year
as Principal of Christ the King Catholic
School.
In years prior I served as a teacher,
coach, and assistant principal at I have made a decision to commit my life's work to education, the Catholic way. I am a product of it and I believe in it wholeheartedly! It is truly a blessing for me to serve the Christ the King community as Principal of its school.
For the school year 2010-2011 we have
adopted as our theme, "One in Faith- Joyful
in Hope - Enduring in Love "This is taken
from 1 Corinthians 13:13 which states, "But
now faith, hope and love abide these three,
but the greatest of these is love." Our goal
is at the core of human existence and of
what Jesus displayed and taught. Because we
are all created in God's image and likeness,
we can and should do what Jesus told us:
"Love one another as I have loved you."
This theme provides our school
community a challenging and rewarding
opportunity: To help the students we serve
grow in faith, hope and love. I do believe
this theme will help lead us to the heart of
the mission of our Catholic school.
We are charged to provide academic
growth, of course, but also to fan the spark
of Christ in all of us until it becomes a
flame! This 2010-2011 school
year will be exciting!
We have several staff new to CKS that
bring much love, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Additionally, we will continue to
enjoy our school air-conditioning, new
windows, lights and ceilings among other
physical plant improvements.
We have new and updated technology
that teachers and students will enjoy as
well! This community's willingness to share
time, talent, and treasure to benefit the
school is appreciated more than words can
explain.
Students, parents, faculty, and staff
make Christ the Again, thank you for visiting our website. If you have comments, questions, or suggestions please e-mail me at sstewart@cks-indy.org.
